Back in the day, there was a wonderful place on the Ouachita River in Monroe called Howard Griffin. For 10 months out of the year, Fishing boats and motorcycles were sold. But for November and December every year, part of the store was cleared for Toys. Lots and lots of amazing toys. A jingle could be heard on the radio and on KNOE announcing the best time of the year. "Howard Griffin land of Toys..."
